KPD Rail Transfer Cart

 

KPD Rail Transfer Cart is a low-voltage track-powered vehicle that does not drag power cables. It uses the running track as a power cable, and a supplied step-down transformer reduces the 380V power supply to 36V (or 24V), which is sent to the running copper rail. The conductive device on the car then delivers the low-voltage power to a transformer that boosts the 36V power to 380V for motor operation.

The low-voltage powered electric flat car series consists of two types: single-phase low-voltage power supply and three-phase low-voltage power supply.

 

 

A step-down transformer reduces three-phase 380V AC to a safe voltage of 36V, which is then connected to three rails. The current collector on the electric transfer trolley draws the 36V current into the vehicle, where an onboard step-up transformer elevates it back to 380V to power the traction motor. The control system manages the transfer trolley's start, stop, forward, and reverse movements.

This series of vehicles can operate on S-shaped and curved tracks, offering high safety performance and flexibility during use. However, the rails require insulation treatment, and track laying demands high precision. For runs exceeding 70 meters, additional transformers are needed to compensate for voltage drop.

Designed for heavy-duty, high-frequency applications, this electric transfer trolley series meets full automation requirements.

 

 

A transformer steps down 380V AC to 36V AC, which is supplied to two rails. The current collector on the transfer trolley channels the 36V AC power into the onboard electrical cabinet. The control system governs motor start/stop, forward/reverse motion, and speed regulation.

This series is suitable for S-shaped tracks, curved tracks, and high-temperature environments. A PLC system can be added for full automated control.

Key features include high safety, strong maneuverability, high-frequency operation, long service life, and unlimited travel distance.

Track laying requires stringent standards (insulation treatment). For distances over 80 meters, additional transformers must be installed to compensate for rail voltage drop.
